ABOUT US...
MaTHinkers is a website promoting the offerings of the West Angeles Church's Education and Enrichment Program, led by John H. Wilson, III, under the guidance and support of Bishop Charles E. Blake, in Los Angeles and satellite locations, such as Long Beach.
The Education and Enrichment Program provides summer enrichment and after school programs, college admissions and affordability programs and youth educational development programs primarily for Grades 6-12. Research Paper Topics often emerge from the diverse offerings of the Education and Enrichment Program. This comprehensive initiative not only cultivates academic excellence but also guides students towards exploring their interests. By engaging with these programs, students gain valuable insights and inspiration for their research endeavors. For an overview of services, please see this brief video: http://westangeleschurch.org/visit-our-education-and-enrichment-department/ Deacon John H. Wilson III, Education and Enrichment Ministry Program Director, oversees programs in partnership with organizations like The Princeton Review, Educate LA, Black College Tours, and CSU that provide tutoring, math enrichment, and other classes at West Angeles Church and community sites. Programs are open to the community. Also, he can guide families through the college admission and financial aid process. This includes selecting the proper middle schools and high schools in preparation for career and college. In accordance with our mission to offer education and enrichment services to the entire community, not just members of our church, we strive to offer the highest quality programs at the lowest cost, to ensure every youth has access to the tools he or she will need for success in college and in life.
